We’re from Chicago and drove to Louisville for a quick two-day trip. On Sunday , we happened to stop at this bar and restaurant, and we’re so glad we did! We met our bartender, Tanner, and he absolutely made our experience. He was incredibly friendly, made some of the best drinks we’ve had, and gave us so many great recommendations for places to visit while we were in town. You could tell he genuinely loves his job, and it shows in the way he treats his customers. The bar is lucky to have someone so passionate and talented on their team. We enjoyed our experience so much that we came back the very next day, even though we were only in Louisville for two days. Tanner wasn’t working, but we had the pleasure of meeting his coworker, Anna. She was just as welcoming, friendly, and provided excellent service as well. Thank you both for making our trip even more memorable. We can’t wait to come back the next time we’re in Louisville!

Tanner, our bartender, was amazing! As far as bartenders, you won’t find any better for a job well done. Where the Barrel and Tanner stood out was in “personality”. The entire staff was friendly and welcoming, the place including the restrooms, was well kept and clean, and the atmosphere was relaxing, welcoming and enjoyable. Tanner stood out as he was so informative, helpful, professional and friendly and honestly the reason we stayed all afternoon! Well done Tanner and well done Barrel bar & grill!
